It’s a good deal if you’re in the market for a green SUV or hatchback.
That said, buying a plug‑in hybrid is a lot more expensive, and it’s definitely worth considering if you can afford it.

In a hybrid, however, the fuel efficiency is closer to 50%.
This means that the fuel in the petrol car is converted to electricity when the engine starts.

In comparison, the battery in an electric vehicle is more like 20% and it converts the power to the power of the electric motors.
This means the petrol or diesel engine has to start using more fuel when the vehicle starts to drive.
In addition, if the car is in charge of driving, it will usually use more fuel to get the vehicle moving and to keep the batteries going.
The more fuel the electric vehicle uses, the less it uses as the battery.
This in turn means that an electric car can deliver less miles per battery charge.
